India’s celebrity endorsement market has witnessed a major shift, with Shah Rukh Khan reclaiming the top position from cricket icon Virat Kohli. According to Kroll’s Celebrity Brand Valuation Report 2025, Shah Rukh Khan is India’s most valuable celebrity brand, with an estimated brand value of $177.9 million.
The ranking measures brand value, not an individual’s total wealth or net worth. Kroll evaluates factors such as celebrity endorsement portfolios, social media presence, audience engagement and commercial influence.
Kroll’s report highlights the growing importance of digital platforms in celebrity endorsements. Digital campaigns allow brands to reach targeted audiences, personalise messages and measure engagement more effectively. For several leading celebrities, digital endorsements accounted for nearly 60% to 75% of their brand associations in 2025.
The rankings also show that celebrity value is no longer determined only by film success or sporting achievements. Social media presence, public image, cultural relevance and the ability to connect with consumers now play an equally important role.
1. Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan has emerged as India’s most valuable celebrity brand in 2025, moving up from third place in the previous ranking. His brand value of $177.9 million reflects his unmatched popularity in India and overseas.
Despite not having a theatrical release after Dunki in 2023, the actor has remained highly visible through endorsements and public appearances. His performances in Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki further strengthened his commercial appeal. The actor’s rise shows that a powerful personal brand can remain influential even during a break from films.
